Friday morning level remains low unsurprisingly given the recent dry spell , this morning has started cold and overcast but the sun is forecast for later . Anglers on the river yesterday landed fish predominately to dry fly both fished blind or to the odd visible rise . Fish are still slow to feed given the scarcity of available food , and a careful approach given that these are overwintered fish and mobility to cover feeding lies will help bring a reward these early season fish provide .
The river opens Sunday 01st April to day tickets price remains at £30 for the day .

Wednesday morning and a sunny day once more , level remains the same . Yesterday fished slowly for the couple of anglers I talked to at lunchtime , I saw no surface rises at all compared to the previous day , however I saw little fly activity except for terrestials .

The season opened yesterday for season rods , day tickets will be on sale as of the 01st April . The top image was sent me of a 17 " brownie caught yesterday an over wintered fish in stunning condition caught yesterday which led the rod a merry dance by all accounts .

The second image shows the river upstream of Bolton bridge this morning , with these conditions set to last till the weekend , I foresee little change this week .
