The big chill continues and as you can see parts of the river are now completely frozen across !

The big freeze continues , and as you may see parts of the river are frozen , the slowly spinning ice wheel was found below Cats cragg !

Tuesday morning and the river is in a good settled condition and running very clear . Looking ahead the forecast is for the cold weather to return as the Arctic air returns from the north east on Thursday ,and with that the risk of more snow , with the cold air lasting well into next week !

Saturday morning and the green is back !! The river rose slowly yesterday as a result of the snow melt and is currently falling , weather currently feels tropical after a week of sub-zero temperatures .
