Friday morning and almost back to normal level the colour is good .

The river continues to fall slowly following this weeks deluge , currently although the level is above normal the colour is good considering and is to my mind fishable however I would favour the czech nymph approach , although as conditions improve other methods may prove more effective as always it pays to remain flexible , positive and adaptable .

Wednesday morning and the river is still big !! but thankfully signs are that it is receding after peaking during the night , the colour is still very poor as you would expect . The outlook is for some dry spells up to the weekend allowing the river to settle down hopefully .

Big river !!!! You hardly need be surprised considering its not stopped raining since yesterdays pictures , and another wet day ahead and an amber flood warning is in place in this area !!
The two pictures below show the river at the priory bridge later on at midday .

Monday morning and the level is presently still ok as at 0830 am , however the EA graph shows the river is rising slowly !!!

Friday morning and once again the river is up and coloured and not for the faint hearted !!! Rain has only just stopped as at 0815 am so I do expect the level to rise further .

Wednesday morning and the level has dropped and the colour has improved and is fishable once again .
Filming is taking place in the field below the memorial fountain so access to the river in this area will be restricted .

Tuesday morning and following frequent showers yesterday the river is up and coloured .

Saturday morning and level has dropped back close to normal and the colour is good .
14th September 2012
The river has dropped some more overnight and the colour is good , opportunities for all methods of fly today .
Three hours later and the picture has changed this picture was taken at 12.15 pm !!!! So river is now up and the colour is poor and opportunities for fly are now greatly reduced .

Yesterdays heavy showers have kept the level up however the colour is fair and fishable but will favour the nymph particularly the czech style and hopefully as the level drops and colour improves then the chance for wet and dry fly methods may arise .

The river has dropped and importantly the colour has improved ( strong tea no milk ) .

Tuesday morning and as at 0800 am the river is falling slowly and the colour is poor .

Wednesday morning and it seems an age since the river has been at this level , and all is good .
03rd September 2012
Monday morning and the river height and colour is good , dry forecast ahead so a settled week in prospect hopefully .
